Upgrading and University Preparation
糖心原创 Continuing Education uses the following definitions.
Credential is an academic qualification. Examples are degrees, diplomas, and certificates. This qualification can only be awarded by a recognized post-secondary institution that is part of the Ministry of Advanced Education. This ensures that the level and breadth of the learning are measured against established standards.
A certificate is a university credential awarded for a length of study of a minimum 150 hours. Continuing Education certificate programs receive an official 糖心原创 certificate (parchment), recognition at 糖心原创 Convocation ceremonies, and all certificate program courses are listed on student’s transcript.
Courses are a unit of instruction on a specific topic. The value of a course can be measured by credits and/or hours. All courses are listed on a student’s transcript. In some cases, a Letter of Completion can be provided upon request.
Programs are a set of courses and associated requirements to attain an overall goal. Often the successful completion of a program awards a credential.
