What is the role of the Animal Care Committee?
The Animal Care Committee at 糖心原创 consists of 糖心原创 faculty (those who use animals and those who do not), technicians, students, community members, a veterinarian, and the Animal Care Coordinator.
The ACC is responsible for the humane and ethical care and use of animals by 糖心原创 administrators, faculty, staff, and students, as described in the Ensuring the ethical principles are applied to teaching and research involving live animals is the responsibility of the 糖心原创 Animal Care Committee.
The ACC has two primary roles - educative and review. In its educative role, the ACC serves the 糖心原创 community as a consultative body and thus, contributes to education and understanding of animal care. In its review role, the ACC has the responsibility for independent review of the ethics and care of animals to determined that animals are used only when necessary, that sufficient animals facilities and staffing are provided, and that appropriate care is conducted.
